Carlos Slim on nyt maailman rikkain mies - ohittanut Bill Gatesin



Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim is the world's richest man, worth an estimated $67.8 billion, after overtaking Microsoft Corp. founder Bill Gates, according to a respected tracker of Mexican financial wealth on Monday.

A 27 per cent surge in the share price of America Movil, Latin America's largest cell phone operator controlled by Slim, from March to June made him close to $8.6 billion wealthier than Gates, said Eduardo Garcia in Sentido Comun, the online financial publication he founded.

Garcia estimated that Gates was worth $59.2 billion.

Maailman rikkain on Mukesh Ambani

Intialainen miljardööri ohitti maanantaina omaisuudellaan niin Bill Gatesin kuin meksikolaisen suurliikemiehen Carlos Slim Helunkin.

Intialaisen miljardöörin omaisuuden arvo on 63,2 miljardia dollaria. Carlos Slim Helu tulee perässä 62,2993 miljardin omaisuudella ja kolmantena on Bill Gates 62,29 miljardin omaisuudella, kertoo The Economic Times.

Mukesh Ambani gave the $60 million Airbus plane to wife Neeta on her 44th birthday on Thursday.

The jet is custom-fitted with an office and a cabin with game consoles, music systems, satellite television and wireless communication, the Mumbai Mirror reported.

It also has a master bedroom, a bathroom with a range of showers and a bar with mood lighting. The jet would be brought to Mumbai soon.

A spokesman for Reliance refused to comment on the report.

Ambani is building a $1-billion 27-story home in Mumbai that would have a helipad, health club and six floors for car parking and 600 staff.
