chose a serene beauty princess to represent the nation in Miss Earth finals Ms.
Miia Lakkisto, 22 years of age, is the newly selected candidate for Miss Earth
2003 finals in Manila, Philippines. Miia hails from an old coastal town of Turku,
situated in the heart of a beautiful archipelago on the west coast of Finland.
She measures 175 cm in height and breathtaking 90 - 59 - 89 in strategic figures.
Not only is Miia stunningly beautiful, but possesses an open mind and knowledge
of diverse environmental issues. 
Miia is no first-timer in the fields of  Her
experience covers modelling as well as organising numerous events and happenings
around the world; Paris, Barcelona and Dubai are some of the places where Miia
has presented her great talent and skills. Her positive attitude towards life
and wonderful smile together with her great sense of responsibility make Miia
a solid candidate for Miss Earth 2003 crown. 
In
the year 2002, Ms. Elina Hurve of Finland became 6th in the Miss Earth
pageant. Miia sees this years competition as a great challenge and is determined
to at least match her friend´s and countrywoman's results. Furthermore,
the Philippines have always had a special place in the heart of Finns: The 1952
Miss Universe Ms. Armi Kuusela married a Philippino and Ms. Johanna
Raunio, 2nd runner-up in the 1974 Miss Universe finals in Manila has made
a movie career in the Philippines. Whole of Finland is awaiting this year's result
and have their thumbs up for Miia.
