At first, Naomi, famed for her fiery temper, thought the woman was joking but once she realized she was being serious, the pair exchanged heated words.
The 36-year-old catwalk queen angrily insisted she was the real Naomi Campbell, but the shop assistant still refused to accept the card.
A spokesman for the model said: "There were a lot of people in the store and the situation was humiliating. Naomi was shaking with anger."
Store management reportedly tried to intervene but Naomi stormed out and refused to ever visit the shop again.
